I felt so blessed yesterday driving back to Houston from Austin. The weather was glorious. Partly cloudy, mostly blue sky, breezy. A perfect concoction of chilly and warm air. And all the way home: wildflowers, wildflowers, wildflowers.
The season is nearing its peak, and they were out in full force yesterday. I drove the whole way with my windows rolled down, pulling off onto a gravel road several times to traipse through a meadow of wildflowers. Texas is so beautiful this time of year, and I got all up in her wildflowers yesterday. And it was so good.
