"Can Peacefulness Be Prescribed?" is the story behind the Peaceful Habits app, an electronic prescription for peacefulness developed by neurologist Jude Theriot for the rehabilitation of emotions in survivors of brain injury.
Based on his experiences implementing a weekly Peaceful Habits group at a residential brain injury facility in Texas, and built around two case studies, this long-form essay relates the challenges of making meditation and the benefits of meditation as accessible as possible to a patient population with a broad range of cognitive impairments.
