Last Sunday a representative of The Messenger visited the Rousseau Inn at Catahoula Lake to look at the building and grounds. The building, which we believe is the largest in the state, for a restaurant, hotel and dancing, is built on pillars ten feet high, facing the beautiful lake, glassed in all around, with a fine floor, and lighted by 54 white globe lights.

The building is receiving the finishing touches, and will be ready for the grand opening on Easter Sunday. The grounds, a ten-acre plot, has been planted in several hundred ornamental trees, shrubs, oranges, and flowers, and in short time will prove a beauty spot. The place will be lighted by two electric plants, one being in case of accident to the other plant, insuring an abundance of light. The roads to and around the building are nicely laid up and are being gravelled.
